Texas License to Carry (LTC) Instructor-Led Course

Fulfill your LTC course requirement with in-person, private instruction!

ATX Bull’s Eye Training License to Carry (LTC) Course provides the state-mandated classroom instruction, written exam, and shooting proficiency qualification with licensed Texas LTC Instructor Coach Nicole. Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive your Certificate of Training LTC-100 form.

Duration: 6-8 Hours

We will cover:

• Laws that relate to weapons and the use of deadly force
• Handgun use and safety
• Non-violent dispute resolution
• Safe storage

Course Includes:

• State-mandated classroom instruction
• Administration of written exam
• Range safety
• Administration of proficiency qualification, target included
• If course requirements are completed successfully, a completed LTC-100 form to be submitted to DPS with your LTC application

Required equipment:

• Pistol – semi-automatic or revolver. For semi-automatic pistols, bring at least one magazine.
  Pistol must be in excellent working condition, and you must know how to operate it.
• 50 rounds of factory ammunition
  No reloads or hand-loads allowed.
  
• Eye protection
  Your safety is of utmost importance to us! Please ensure your shooting glasses are rated for high-impact. The current safety standard for shooting glasses is the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020. Sunglasses not ANSI-rated are not sufficient.
• Hearing protection
  Ensure your hearing protection is rated for shooting.

Prerequisites:

• All equipment used in the live-fire portion of the class is subject to approval by the instructor.
• You must be 18 years or older.

Proficiency Qualification

Although the qualification is straightforward, your LTC instructor administering the proficiency test is not allowed to provide help or instruction during the test. No make-up shots are allowed, and unsafe gun handling will result in immediately failing the test. If you are unsure of your safe gun handling skills, ATX Bull's Eye Training recommends you work with an instructor before scheduling your LTC Shooting Qualification. Payment

Payment must be made in full at least one week prior to class. Course fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued if ATX Bull’s Eye Training cancels class due to elements out of our control, including but not limited to weather or minimum attendance not met.
